TERMS OF USE
Terms
Last updated 11 August 2026
These terms cover this website and the public demo on it. foilstack is not yet a released product; there is nothing to subscribe to and nothing to pay for.
The demo is a demo
Everything in the demo runs against a fictional sample seller's inventory. The cards, prices, orders, and buyers are made up. Nothing you do in the demo affects any real inventory, marketplace listing, or order.
Your demo session is temporary. Changes the agent makes — adding a scanned card, building a dashboard page — last for that session and are discarded afterwards.
The agent can be wrong
The demo is driven by a language model. It can misidentify a card, misjudge condition from a photo, or state a value with more confidence than it has earned. Card grading in particular cannot be done reliably from one phone photo, and the agent will usually tell you so.
Nothing the agent says is financial, investment, or valuation advice. Do not buy, sell, price, grade, or insure a card based on what this demo tells you. Card markets move, comps vary by platform, and a real grade requires a real grader.
Acceptable use
The demo runs on a single GPU that we pay for. Please don't:
- Automate, script, or load-test it, or try to work around the rate limits.
- Use it to generate unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.
- Upload photos you don't have the right to share, or images of people who haven't agreed to it.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to break out of the demo sandbox.
We rate-limit the demo per network and per session, and we may cut off access that looks abusive. This isn't personal — it's one machine.
Availability
There is no uptime commitment. The demo runs on hardware that gets restarted, updated, and occasionally borrowed for other work. It may be slow, unavailable, or removed entirely without notice.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is not a purchase and not a guarantee of access, pricing, or timing. We onboard in small batches, and we may never reach everyone. You can leave at any time by emailing [email protected].
Selling cards to us
You must be 18 or older to sell us a card. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to deal with us instead. You also need to own the card and have the right to sell it.
Asking for an offer is not a sale. When you raise your hand we look at your card and email you a number; nothing is agreed until you accept that number in writing and we confirm it. Either of us can walk away before then, and we may decline to make an offer at all.
Any offer is based on the photo and description you give us and is subject to us inspecting the card when it arrives. If the card is not what it appeared to be — different printing, different condition, damage the photo did not show — we will tell you what we found and either re-quote or send it back. Market prices shown on this site are what a card is trading for elsewhere, not what we are offering to pay; our offer will normally be lower, because we take on the cost and risk of reselling it.
Your content
You keep all rights to the photos and text you put into the demo. We don't train on them and don't claim any licence to them beyond running the demo and working out where it went wrong. Our privacy policy covers what we keep and for how long.
No warranty, limited liability
This site and demo are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the demo or reliance on anything it tells you — including any decision you make about buying, selling, or grading a card.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product takes shape. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
